Going Out to Go In
A commission for the offices of a large tech company in the Bay Area. The hallway mural mixes areas of painted mural alongside reclaimed wood paneling that have CNC cut relief designs. The company currently only allow these close up images to be shared.
The title paraphrases John Muir's quote, “I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” I thought it was apt to encourage people to escape their desks and screens, go outdoors and find themselves!
