Grove at the Napa Valley Community Foundation

The piece Grove was installed at the Napa Valley Community Foundation 3299 Claremont Way Napa, August 2014. Grove consists of fifteen reclaimed wood posts, previously freeway guardrail supports, with carved relief, paint, and gold leaf. Each post is 64 x 8 x 8.

The wooden posts that make up Grove were previously supports for freeway guardrails. The life-cycle of this old wood, from tree to freeway to abstract-forest, speaks simply about nature, human progress, and transformation.
