This year has kicked off with several very diverse but overlapping projects. It's proving to be a pretty interesting multi-tasking challenge! The MacArthur Station mural is complete and awaiting installation, and I'm working on studio pieces for The Compound Gallery show in June.
Now I'm working on a new mural project up in Santa Rosa. It's a City percent for art public art project on the side of a new sports store, and there were strict design stipulations and restrictions. Working on this scale is always very satisfying, and the graphics elements are pretty interesting. Two 90 x 25ft walls is a challenge, so I drafted in help from my pal Scott David Smith, and ex Oakland painter now living in Asheville NC, where his company Renovate With Color does all kinds of residential and commercial colorist, design, and painting services. Update April 24th - both murals are complete. Take a look ...
